Welcome to The Coach and Horses, or simply “the Coach” as locals and regulars refer to it. Located on the main approach into the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, we have built our reputation on the solid pub basics of good beer, good service and good company.
My father Bob ran the Coach for many years and it’s now in its second generation of family ownership. We welcome customers old and new to come and sample our traditional hand-pulled ales, fine wines and extensive range of malt whiskies and quality spirits. We always have fresh coffee and soft drinks available and serve freshly prepared pub grub every lunchtime, including a great value traditional lunch from 12.00 to 4.00 pm on a Sunday.
The pub is opposite the West Park Stray, a beautiful open grass space, with ample parking in two pay & display car parks seconds from the door and some on-road parking directly outside. We are also only a short walk from the bus and train stations.
Inside, the pub is everything a traditional pub should be: polished wood surfaces, gleaming hand-pulled beer pumps and brass fittings, glimmering mirrors and sparkling optics. Tables are nicely spaced, allowing a good friendly atmosphere with appropriate personal space. The central bar area makes it easy to get served and the informal arrangement of bar stools, tables and booths make it easy to find a seat to suit your needs.
The Coach is a pub for grown-ups. It’s couples and groups at the weekend, mainly business people through the day in the week, and all ages in the evenings. All enjoy an environment where the service is fast and friendly, the bar clean and tidy and there are top-quality local ales and food on sale. No children, no scruffy work clothes, no jukebox, no big screen sports, no bands, no dartboard, no pool table. Just good old-fashioned good company, good quality, good service.
I hope we see you soon
